For many years I had the privilege of working with Cheshire’s garden businesses, helping to raise their profile within the UK and internationally. My aim was not only to spread the word about the great, nationally important gardens such as Tatton Park, Arley Hall and Gardens and Ness Botanic Gardens, but also make people aware of the smaller destinations that offer visitors so much pleasure. These included Mount Pleasant Gardens at Kelsall, Bluebell Cottage Gardens at Dutton and pretty Gawsworth Hall, close to Macclesfield. And there are many, many more, such as Cholmondeley Castle Gardens, Rode Hall, Norton Priory and Hare Hill – all beautiful, all places I visit again and again. To see photos of these visit the Gardens A to H and I to Z galleries on my main website.
As a professional freelance photographer I now travel across the country visiting and photographing gardens – and what a pleasure it is too! A new team is now marketing Cheshire’s gardens and they’re doing a great job. They put together this video, which I was delighted to find featured a number of my photographs – including images of Arley Hall, Hare Hill, Marbury Country Park and Lyme Park.
I hope you enjoy it.
