Cholmondeley Castle Gardens Statue and Cherry Tree

A small statue is framed by a blossoming cherry, beside the lake in Cholmondeley Castle’s Temple Garden.

Looking through my images of gardens recently, I thought it would be a great idea to present a selection on video – adding movement and music.  So I put a slideshow together myself – and then asked composer and musician Reuben Vincent to create an original piece of music that reflected the emotions and sense of peace evoked by the images.  He composed, performed and recorded this himself – and it’s beautiful, complementing the garden photographs perfectly.

The gardens featured in the video are: Arley Hall, Cheshire; Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire; Dorothy Clive Gardens, Staffordshire; Holker Hall, Cumbria; Kiftsgate Court, Gloucestershire; Levens Hall, Cumbria; Marbury Country Park, Cheshire; Plas Newydd, Denbighshire; Portmeirion, Gwynedd; Rode Hall, Cheshire; Rydal Mount, Cumbria; Sezincote, Gloucestershire; Trentham Gardens, Staffordshire; and Wollerton Old Hall Gardens, Shropshire.

For more garden images visit the gardens galleries on my main website.  More about Reuben Vincent can be found here.

The video – Gardens of Britain – is best viewed in HD.
